Democracy
I believe that democracy is a political view based on a
country where the people have a right to vote for what they want within their
own country. The Prime Ministers are the ones with the most power and actually
decide what happens in the country. The public decide on who to vote for
depending on whether they are left wing or right wing.
This means that they have different views on what they want
for themselves, right wing people usually have a capitalistic view where they
believe that the working class or society should essentially be separated from
the upper class, therefore the rich will get richer and will greaten the
difference between people in society.
The left wing view is a socialistic view where people think
that everyone should be treated equally and that people who do not deserve
power should not be able to have access to this power because they will treat
people unequally. Tony Benn is a person who agrees with the social view as he
believes people are all born the same and everyone starts off equal.
In my own view I am undecided in terms of being left or right
wing simply because there are some things that I like from both sides but also
both sides have things that I don’t like therefore I am not fully persuaded to
either side as of yet.
