A2 Media Task

Hello,

During the course of the year the whole class have the task of creating a music video in groups of no more than four people of your choice. I decided to work with the same group as I did in AS which is Kieran and Jon-Jo. Dane has left sixth form therefore will not be part of our group for A2.

Over the course of the year we will be creating preliminary tasks, storyboards and creating new ideas in preparation for our final task which is now decided to be based on Kid Cudi's song 'Day 'N' Nite. Our video will focus on the lyrics of this song and we will also try to match visuals with the lyrics as well as trying to complete lip syncing to the highest standard.

Ignoring the practical side of the course for a moment, in between the creation of our music videos we will be learning about theorists such as Dan Gilmor and Internet 3.0 and what they have to say about the media and the influence it has on specific events. We can later then apply some of these theorists to our assessments and background to our videos to give ourselves a better understanding of the media concepts.

Myself and my group will push each other to achieve great things throughout this course and hopefully we will have to potential to fulfil this objective. I will try my best to keep you guys updated throughout the course of the year to ensure that you as the audience will enjoy our annual project.
